Use the source as a starting point, not a conclusion

A good prompt makes the evidence inspectable and leaves room for a practitioner to disagree.

Marktest’s 2025 social-media study reports that 92% of surveyed Portuguese social-network users visit several times per day and rate company and brand presence at 8.3 out of 10. Ask: what did your team stop publishing because presence was not creating useful attention? Request the measure or customer signal behind the choice.[1]

Eurostat reports that 58.8% of EU internet users refused advertising use of personal data in 2025. Ask: which data request, audience rule or personalisation feature has your team removed because the value exchange was too weak? Label this as EU evidence, not a Portugal-only result.[2]

  • Prompt 1: What did you stop posting, and why?
  • Prompt 2: Which customer-data request did you remove?
  • Prompt 3: Where has localising the operation mattered more than translating the campaign?

Ask media teams about the number that changed the decision

Budget discussion becomes useful when practitioners can describe assumptions and corrections, even without revealing exact spend.

Portugal’s monitored 2025 advertising data gives TV 89.3% of investment at table prices before negotiated discounts. Ask: which channel looked different after you compared gross, net, fees, production and measurement? Accept an indexed answer—such as 100 becoming 42—when exact costs are confidential.[3]

IAB Europe reports 19.2% growth in European social advertising in 2025, led by social video. Ask: where did your next euro in social video stop adding incremental reach or qualified response? Request the saturation signal rather than a platform preference.[4]

  • Prompt 4: Which channel changed most after net-cost comparison?
  • Prompt 5: Where did social-video saturation appear?
  • Prompt 6: What evidence would make you move budget from linear TV to CTV—or back?

Make creator and commerce prompts concrete

Rates and return become discussable when the question separates price components and claim boundaries.

Public influencer-rate guides repeatedly warn that rates are negotiated and vary with format, audience and rights. Ask creators and buyers which term changed the final quote most: production, usage, exclusivity, amplification or reporting. Invite both sides to explain what a fair brief includes.[5]

Eurostat’s 2026 digitalisation edition reports that only 4% of recent online shoppers in Portugal said they experienced a problem, the lowest share among EU countries. Ask e-commerce teams what they believe keeps the customer journey reliable—and which issue their internal data still shows. The low survey result should invite investigation, not a claim that Portuguese e-commerce is problem-free.[6]

  • Prompt 7: Which contract term changes a creator quote most?
  • Prompt 8: Which influencer metric do you no longer use for decisions?
  • Prompt 9: What operational practice prevents the most e-commerce problems?

Invite honest discussion about marketing work

Career prompts should surface role design and evidence expectations without turning individual frustration into labour-market statistics.

Current public marketing searches in Portugal include CRM, performance, brand, content, social and events roles, but broad result counts also include adjacent work. Ask hiring managers which capability they genuinely assess in a junior portfolio, and ask candidates which advertised responsibility makes a role unrealistically broad.[7]

Use ranges for salary and team-size questions. Offer anonymous contribution when employment or client relationships make attribution risky. Never publish identifiable employment claims without permission and a correction route.

  • Prompt 10: Which task should leave overloaded junior roles?
  • Prompt 11: What portfolio evidence changed your hiring decision?
  • Prompt 12: Which marketing metric creates the most unproductive work in your team?

Close the loop with a transparent synthesis

Participation grows when contributors can see what happened to their evidence.

For each prompt, record the publication date, channel, views, responses, respondent roles and whether answers were attributable. Group recurring patterns, but keep direct experiences distinct from representative research. A dozen LinkedIn comments can inspire better questions; they cannot describe every marketer in Portugal.

Publish a short synthesis with three labels: what the source establishes, what practitioners reported and what Marketing Portugal infers. Include counterexamples and unresolved questions. Invite corrections through the contribution page and update the article when new primary data materially changes the discussion.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can these prompts be copied into LinkedIn posts?

Yes. Keep the source link and scope with the prompt, adapt the language to your audience and do not present responses as representative research.

How many answers make a useful community finding?

There is no universal number. A small self-selected discussion can reveal examples and hypotheses, but it cannot estimate prevalence in Portugal without an appropriate sampling design.

Can contributors answer anonymously?

Yes, especially for budgets, salaries, employers or client performance. Explain how the response will be stored, attributed and quoted before collecting it.

What makes a response citation-worthy?

Name the person or approved descriptor, role, date, question, relevant context and claim boundary. Keep the original record and obtain permission for attributed quotations.

Should a poll percentage be published as evidence?

Publish it as the result of that specific self-selected poll with the response count and dates. Do not generalise it to Portuguese marketers or consumers.

How can practitioners propose another prompt?

Use the Marketing Portugal contribution page with a primary source, the proposed question, who should answer it and why the answer would change a decision.
